The REBOUND DISC PRACTICE SYSTEM for Lawn Bowls
After coaching, and playing “A Grade” cricket throughout country Victoria for over 20 years I made the transition to the Lawn Bowls green, and it wasn’t long before I recognized a glaring problem with the lack of training and practice aids available to the lawn bowler, coach and club.
I've never been one for wasting my valuable time at training, and I always practice to improve myself. As a cricket coach I had access to the many coaching and practice aids available to all cricketers and cricket clubs, and these aids were an invaluable resource for me to be able to use in my efforts to develop my players.
It was a bit of a culture shock when I found that the only Lawn Bowls aids I could lay my hands on, were was the old bowls discarded underneath the Bowling Club; so I set about developing a Practice System that I could use to assist my own bowling development.
The Rebound Disc Practice System is the result of more than 4 years of research and development, and all of this was done with the Bowler and Coach in mind.
This is a revolutionary product; in fact, the Rebound Discs are one piece and therefore don’t contain any moving parts that might break down. The disc itself is highly flexible and when compressed by the Lawn Bowl striking and rolling over the disc, it simply returns to the upright position of (90°).
Each disc is singular and can be placed in any position on the green which gives the bowler the freedom to set up any type of head he or she wishes. This gives you the freedom to be able to practice the shot that you are trying to perfect repeatedly, and with the aid of the Rebound Discs your development and achievement of your goal will be rapid.
My aim was to produce a product that would be easy to set up, fun to use, practical and resilient. It would provide all bowlers with a complete Practice System that would facilitate a complete practice session, and when used for specific drills, it would dramatically improve a bowler’s skills and confidence.
